EN /// Cranes fly! is a site specific landscape theatre connecting narrations about migrating birds with the wider topic of migration. As an audio-walk it invites the audience to an experiential promenade. During the movement of walking, images of landscape fuse with a soundtrack of interview material and electronic music. Local interview partners join in our research at each new site. This staging can be developed site specifically for new locations.

LANDPARTIE 2023, realized in cooperation with Schloss Bröllin arts residency centre, concentrated on the historical and actual experience of migration of people in the North-East of Germany, in the area of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. From 1250 in the late medieval times, through the settlements of the Huguenots, the emigration waves of the 18th century, the escape and displacement of the two World Wars, the escape from the GDR before 1989, as well as the exodus after and movements triggered through more recent conflicts … The awareness of this continued coming and going, of different forms of resettlement and emigrations is sharpened, fostering understanding of the different underlying causes and motivations.

Artistic work in rural spaces means for us to integrate the breadth of the landscape and the special ways human beings in form, content and aesthetics root our projects.

DE /// Die Kraniche fliegen! ist ein ortsspezifisches Landschaftstheater und verbindet Erzählungen über Zugvögel mit dem Thema Migration. Als Audio-Walk lädt es das Publikum auf eine Erlebniswanderung ein. In der Bewegung des Gehens verschmelzen Landschaftsbilder mit einem Soundtrack aus Interviewmaterial und elektronischer Musik. Interviewpartner:innen werden an den jeweiligen Orten neu recherchiert. Diese Inszenierung kann als performatives Format ortsspezifisch für jeweils neue Orte entwickelt werden.

Landpartie 2023, realisiert in Kooperation mit dem Residenzort Schloss Bröllin, beschäftigte sich mit historischen und aktuellen Migrationserfahrungen von Menschen in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Das Bewusstsein für dieses Kommen und Gehen, für verschiedene Formen von Ansiedlungs- und Auswanderungswellen (von 1250 über das Spätmittelalter, die Ansiedlung von Hugenotten, die Auswanderungswellen im 19. Jahrhundert, Flucht und Vertreibung im Zuge der beiden Weltkriege, Republikflucht bis 1989 sowie durch aktuelle Konflikte ausgelöste Fluchtbewegungen) sollte geschärft und das Verständnis für die unterschiedlichen Beweggründe gefördert werden.

Arbeiten im ländlichen Raum bedeutet für uns, die Weite der Landschaften und die besondere Form der Verwurzelung der Menschen inhaltlich, organisatorisch und ästhetisch in unsere Vorhaben einzubeziehen.
